“It’s a living, breathing tapestry…”

Participating in The Flag for Hope affects each one of the 3,700 Americans differently. Listen to this mom in Texas describe what The Flag for Hope means to her.  This video was filmed at the Texas Military Forces Museum in Austin, TX just after she and her son placed their impressions on the Flag.

Transcript:

I think that this looks like a living, breathing tapestry that holds the DNA of America in it. That has been brilliantly formed to represent our flag, which is, you know, should remind people hopefully that that’s actually what our flag is… It should be a living, breathing sign of freedom and all of these handprints and fingerprints from all over America should remind you that we are many different people, we are from many different cultures, we are many different races, but we all unite under one cause… which is freedom.
