Utah – August 27-28, 2015
The team landed in Utah on the morning of 8/27. Right after landing we hopped into the car and drove 2 1/2 half hours to Beaver to meet the CEO and founder of Qivana, Derek and Shelby Hall.
While planning just the right location we decided a local war memorial was fitting. Derek and Shelby gave their impressions at the local Vietnam War memorial pictured here.
On Friday, where Qivana founders, Craig Johnanson, Justin Banner, Devin Glasier and their families gave their impressions. We took a stunning drive though the canyon near Craig’s house and got some awesome photos of his family and the flag with the mountains as the backdrop. We used this picture above as the featured image. This picture is one of the last that we took before starting the Stars on the Flag. One of our favorite pictures!
At Qivana’s headquarters in Provo, we were able to take the time to add the painted hand of many of the employees.
We finished the day at Steve Perkins house getting impressions with his family in right in their back yard. We’ve done quite a few of these back yard Flag for Hope days but the views here were just incredible.
We had a great time in Utah and we can’t wait to share our experience with you! Check back here for more updates in the following weeks!
